Buttons and lace and ruffles — oh my!

If you follow me on Instagram then you probably saw that on Saturday I posted a photo of myself wearing a darling little white tank with the most perfect lace detail, and I promised a Loft summer fashion haul on the blog.

Well, here it is friends. I did a little damage online at Loft last week and treated myself to some new clothes since they had an additional 60-percent off sale items.

It’s mostly pretty tops that I can pair with denim shorts (a closet staple) for a clean and classic look, but everything is fun and ultra feminine.

Enjoy and let me know in the comments below if you want to see more posts like this!

STRAPPY BUTTON DOWN POCKET FLARE DRESS

Size: 8

{Shop}

This adorable white linen dress is my absolute favorite piece from this shopping trip. I have literally been stalking the Loft website every day for weeks waiting for it to go on sale and/or be restocked in my size.

We have two beach vacations coming up — one in August and one in September for our one-year anniversary — and I thought this super light dress would be wonderful for both trips.

I will say that it fits a little snug in the bust. So, if you have a fuller chest, you might want to size up. Other than that, it is great for picnics and long walks in the sand with your honey.

Did I mention that it has pockets? Yeah, it’s basically perfect.

DIAMOND LACE TRIM TANK

Size: M

{Shop}

I mentioned on Instagram that I am obsessed with the lace detail on this tank. It’s just so pretty and feminine.

I’ve had my eye on it for a while, too, and I am so glad I finally ordered it.

It fits TTS and comes in navy blue, as well. I actually needed a small, but they didn’t have that size in stock in white. So, I ordered a medium, hoping it wouldn’t be too big. It’s a little loose under the arms, but it fits well enough that I’m comfortable in it.

HEY GOOD LOOKIN’ VINTAGE SOFT SWEATSHIRT TEE

Size: Medium

{Shop}

I know, I know — I said this was a summer fashion haul. I couldn’t resist this lightweight sweatshirt, though. Especially since it was $11 on sale.

It will be perfect for cooler southern summer nights and will carry over nicely into fall.

STRIPED RUFFLE TANK

Size: Small

{Shop}

How precious are those ruffle sleeves? And those stripes? And that square neckline?

Like I mentioned above, I mostly stuck with tops that would maintain the classic, low-maintenance, yet polished look I go for in the summer months, and this tank checked all those boxes.

It is comfortable and flowy, and lightweight enough to keep me cool on a 95-degree day.

EMBROIDERED GIRAFFE TIE NECK BLOUSE

Size: Medium

{Shop}

If I’m being honest, the first thing I thought when I saw this blouse was, “Oh, that will be perfect to wear on Kilimanjaro Safari at Walt Disney World.”

When it arrived, I was actually pretty surprised at how thin it is. It’s fine for casual weekend wear, but I will definitely have to put on a camisole under it if I want to pair it with some skinny trousers or a pencil skirt for the office.

Like the sweatshirt above, this piece will carry me into crisp fall weather — which I’m looking forward to at this point. I don’t know how many more 90-plus degree days I can take!

VINE EMBROIDERED SQUARE NECK TANK

Size: Medium

{Shop}

Finally — this navy blue tank with white embroidery and pom-pom detail along the neckline. Swoon.

I have already worn and washed it once — it looks great with a white linen skirt for work — but I’m a little bummed about the sizing. I bought a medium, and while it fit, it was rather loose in the chest the first time I wore it. So much so that I wished I would have sized down to a small. However, it shrank in the wash and now fits a little snug. Odd.

It’s still comfy and flowy, though, and will continue to be part of my work wear each week.

There you have it — my favorite summer picks from Loft! I hope you enjoyed it as much as I loved describing each piece for you. At the end of the day, I’m just a woman who still loves playing dress up.

Because I shopped online, I used Ebates and received an additional $2.53 back on my order, bringing my Ebates cash back balance up to $58.45 for this quarter. Woo! Start earning cash back through Ebates by signing up and shopping today.
