I am not a huge fan of sharing a lot of gift guides around the holidays. There’s nothing wrong with it and I think they are extremely helpful if you’re struggling to think of gift ideas, but it simply isn’t my style here on Dammit, Hali.

However, when I do find something that I truly enjoy and want to share with you all, I am more than happy to write a post about whatever that might be. I figure if I like it, some of you reading might too, so why not talk about it?

That is how I ended up with today’s post. I found some boots I like, and I want to share them with you.

Maybe you’re looking for a gift for a woman in your life or perhaps you want to treat yourself to some fashionable, comfortable, and cute new rain boots. Either way, I have a great option (and alternative to everyone’s beloved Hunter boots).

We have had a lot of cold, rainy days in North Carolina so far this season, and these Sperry Saltwater Duck Boots have certainly come to my rescue.

I love that they are mid-height and hit well above my ankle but don’t come all the way up my calf.

They are versatile in that they can be worn with skirts/dresses, jeans, or leggings. Plus, since the shaft is shorter, they are easier to pack if you’re traveling to an area where you need a sturdy pair of waterproof boots.

They do have a side zipper that makes getting them off and on easier, and the micro-fleece lining keeps your feet warm and cozy.

I also appreciate that these boots come in a variety of neutral color combos: tan and navy; tan and dark brown; brown and olive; and grey (which I am wearing here).

Finally, one last note about the laces — they are made from leather and feature a barrel tie design that keeps them from coming untied.

I hope this quick holiday gift idea was able to spark some inspiration for you.

As always, thank you for reading and happy holidays!
