As a true coffee lover myself, here is my list of coffee essentials for the coffee lover you’re shopping for this year.

Ninja Coffee Bar

This is our everyday coffee maker, and I love that it has multiple size options and I can make a full or half pot, a travel mug, or a standard mug.

SHOP:

Nespresso

This machine has been at the top of my wish list for over a year now. You can purchase different capsules (or pods) to make coffee, crema, espresso, lattes, or cappuccinos, and the machine makes five cup sizes.

SHOP:

Chemex

The Chemex is my absolute favorite way to make coffee on Saturday and Sunday mornings (when my time isn’t limited). It’s a slow process but one that any true coffee lover will appreciate. It produces the best cup of coffee because your grounds have zero contact with metal like they would in a regular coffee maker. Plus, the classic design looks gorgeous sitting out on your kitchen counter.

SHOP:

French Press

The French press is also a personal favorite of mine because it produces a rich, flavorful cup of coffee.

SHOP:

Gooseneck Stovetop or Electric Kettle

If you’re gifting your coffee lover a pour over, Chemex, or French press coffee maker, a good gooseneck kettle (either stovetop or electric) is a great accompaniment. A gooseneck kettle is essential for producing the best cup of coffee with any of these devices because it allows you to control the pour of the water over the coffee grounds.

SHOP:

Coffee Mug or Travel Mug

Every coffee drinker loves a fun mug, right? These are a few of my favorites.

SHOP:

Milk Frother

This little gadget is a perfect, inexpensive stocking stuffer for the coffee lover on your shopping list. I use mine (I have the Bodum one) every single day because I love foamy heavy cream on top of my coffee.

SHOP:

Locally Roasted Coffee

I am a huge advocate for buying local and supporting small businesses. There is likely a great coffee roaster in your city or town; do a little research if you don’t know of one and buy coffee from them. Locally roasted coffee makes a wonderfully thoughtful gift.

Electric or Manual Grinder

Every coffee lover needs a grinder, whether it’s electric or manual. This allows them to adjust their bean grind just the way like each time and depending on their coffee maker of choice.

SHOP:

Clever Coffee Dripper

The Clever Coffee Dripper is a plastic drip maker that sits over cups and thermoses and combines the features of a French press and drip brewer. In my opinion, this is the quickest, easiest way to make good drip coffee, and it’s easy to clean.
