I went into this past weekend knowing that it was my second to last one before returning to work from maternity leave.
While I wanted to get the bathroom improvement project DONE, I also wanted to spend as much time with Justin and Jack as I could.
So, we lounged in bed as a family of three for a little longer than normal on Saturday and Sunday morning. After Jack finished his first feed of the morning, I pulled him in bed with us and he went back to sleep.
It created such a nice, slow start to our day.
Once we were up on Saturday, though, I started hanging the rest of the wallpaper in our spare bathroom.
The beadboard wallpaper I shared last week on Instagram went up first and then the bunny paper.
I have one corner left to hang and I will be done with this part of the bathroom update!
We still need to paint and add a chair rail, of course.
Justin also decided last minute on Saturday that he wanted to switch out the sink in the bathroom from a pedestal to a vanity.
Before on the left; update on the right.
He also wanted to switch out the light fixture.
Before on the left; update on the right.
I have to admit, I was opposed to both of these changes because I didn’t want to spend money on them. But they make the space look so much better. I’m glad we made this small investment.
The highlight of our weekend, though, was Jack’s big milestone. At only 11 weeks old he learned how to rollover!
On Saturday night he rolled from his back to his belly for the first time. And on Sunday we couldn’t keep him from rolling from back to belly and then belly to back each time we put him down.
I’m still in disbelief that he’s doing this!
Here are some more snapshots from our weekend together:
Until next week, friends!
