I’m not the kind of gal who typically decorates for Valentine’s Day. It’s just not my thing. However, I stumbled across the most precious velvet heart garland at Target today and instantly fell head over heels for it.
I immediately scooped it up and started brainstorming ways I could decorate with it while I continued to roam around Target like it’s my job.
Then, as I was strolling through the spring and garden section, a set of simple but beautiful string lights caught my eye.
That’s when I figured out what to do with the garland I so cherished — I would pair it with the string lights and drape them across our headboard!
To me, this is the most simple but romantic Valentine’s Day setup.
I love the neutral color of the velvet heart garland and how the tassels add a subtle, precious touch.
And the mini LED string lights could not be more perfect. The globes around the lights are plastic so I don’t have to worry about us accidentally breaking them (ya know, since I did put them across our headboard). Also, they are battery operated which makes it super easy to turn them on and off when I want.
They create an incredibly cozy and inviting atmosphere in our master bedroom, and I’m thinking I will leave them up past the holiday next week! Perhaps they will “hang around” for the long-term.
These lights come in two sizes, small and large, and I bought the large ones to great a bigger impact on the space.
There you have it, friends. My quick, simple, and romantic Valentine’s Day decor for our bedroom.
